Job description
Due to continued growth, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Commercial Senior Associate for our client, to join their busy, nationally recognised and ranked Outsourcing, Technology and Commercial Team to work on a varied case load of commercial matters, ranging from advising SMEs on day-to-day queries to working with blue-chip corporate clients on major projects and outsourcings.
The Commercial Senior Associate will need to be confident in networking, cross selling opportunities, business development and marketing to increase the Firm's profile across the region.
Experience required:
- Commercial contracts
- Intellectual property law
- Outsourcing and technology
- Excellent drafting and strong negotiation skills
- Good client and team communication skills
- Experience of managing more junior team members, and of providing coaching and training for individuals as required
- Experience in face to face, complex and long-running negotiations (ideally for major projects) would be an advantage, as would in-house or secondment experience and experience of public procurement
- Above all, the ability to deliver succinct, quality advice to key commercial clients - joining up the dots on relationships, putting yourself in your clients' shoes, not sitting on the fence and being a proactive problem solver.
- Responsible for running own caseload and ensuring deadlines are met;
- Ensure the retention of good clients through appropriate client management and service delivery;
- Secure profitable new clients through networking and cross sell opportunities, whilst simultaneously increasing the Firm's profile;
- Develop responsibility for managing more junior team members;
- Provide coaching and training for individuals as required; and
- Prepare and present seminars and/or issue bulletins on topical subjects.
